Summary

Sophie and her friends accidently awaken a hibernating hedgehog in the sixth book of The Adventures of Sophie Mouse！

Winter has finally arrived in Silverlake Forest and Sophie and her friends are having some snowy fun！ While playing one day， they accidentally wake a hedgehog named Pippa who has been hibernating all winter。 Though Pippa is a little foggy at first， Sophie， Hattie， and Owen show her all the fun things to do in wintertime。 There’s ice skating on the pond， sledding down snowy hills， snow-animals to build， and so much more！ The only problem is now that Pippa’s awake， will she ever be able to get back to sleep？

With easy-to-read language and illustrations on almost every page， the Adventures of Sophie Mouse chapter books are perfect for beginning readers。

12/5/20 - Really cute animal friends wake up someone they have never met while playing in the snow。 Illustrations and story is just adorable。 Super excited for when my granddaughter can read this on her own， but that will be quite a little while yet。 But this is just perfect for those 1st grade -3rd grade transition books。

Read aloud to Gwen and Alec。 This one was just so sweet - imagining a snow day for little woodland animals was really clever。 We also loved that there was a homeschooling family introduced！ This series continues to be really delightful。

This charming， gentle book， showing friends acting kindly toward each other， probably would have received a 4 star rating except that three of the characters should have been hibernating rather than just one。 That fact kept distracting me。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 It was good because Sophie mouse helped the hedgehog who was named Pippa go to sleep。 She hibernates。 Mostly hedgehogs do。 Everybody helped Sophie mouse find her purple scarf。 She left it on a shoe mouse they had made。

This was a cute story。 Sophie Mouse and her friends are having a ton of winter fun， until they disturb someone who normally hibernates through the winter。 Will she be mad？ or will she join in on the fun？ The kids （4 & 5） really liked this story。
